Multi Award-winning boutique dog friendly holiday park which has been especially designed for people holidaying with their four-legged Best Friend! Cabin accommodation, camping and caravan sites are individually fenced to help ensure your total relaxation.??
Located two-and-a-half-hours east of Melbourne and only 3 km from the cool temperate rainforest of Tarra-Bulga National Park, we are located in lush green surroundings adjacent to an all-year-round waterfall and a natural rock-formed swimming pool. All this and yet we are a mere 25 minutes drive from the beach!??
During the day, fish for trout or the freshwater cray or simply relax with the spectacular birds of the rainforest in our serene parkland gardens. By night, toast marshmallows or chestnuts (in season) on your own private campfire whilst being watched by our friendly resident koalas. In season pick your own organic fruit, nuts and berries.
6 Individual Off-leash Areas, Dog Hydrobath Hut and Dog Playgrounds
Everything has been done to ensure your peace-of-mind during your stay. Cabins and drive-through caravan sites are securely fenced. We have 6 individual spacious off-leash areas within our park, securely fenced (yes, wire-netting going underground) and with double gate entrances.
These allow the option of having your own "exclusive" area or meeting and playing with new friends - your choice. We have dog friendly play equipment including dog agility equipment both for the learner and the more experienced. Our Giant Dog Ball Run is unique to Best Friend Holiday Retreat.
For your convenience, there are "doggy-doo" stations scattered around the park, many tethering places (in the on-leash areas) and various dog drinking spots. A dog hydrobath hut to pamper your best friend and luxury kennels for those occasions when you cannot take your dog with you, eg when visiting the National Parks.
There are three Deluxe Cabin's to choose from. Each have a toilet separate to bathroom. Two 3 seater settees in lounge room (one of which converts to a double bed.) Small "Doggie Bedroom" off the main bedroom! Queen size bed in main bedroom, double bed in the second bedroom, full cooking facilities, all crockery & cutlery, microwave, 37" lcd satellite free-to-air television, dvd player, split system air-conditioning, ceiling fans, electric heating, fully covered decking with bbq and outdoor setting. Ramp in addition to steps. Sleeps up to 6. Securely fenced grassed yard. Has valley and forest views. There are some slight differences:
> Snoopy's Snoozer: $200 - $300 per night
> Pluto's Palace: $220 - $300 per night. The same as Snoopy's Snoozer, except not steps
> Scooby-Doo's Shack: $220 - $300 per night. The same as Pluto's Palace, except has rural and forest views. Bird lover's paradise
